He is giving his team manager a big kiss because he has just won the climbers jersey.

"Big Mig" at the Bordeaux time trial on the Saturday before the finish
of the 1996 Tour de France in Paris the next day.
He finished 10th that day but I think it was because he was "mooned"
by 10 naked vineyard workers on the road side in Saint Emillion.
Paul has a newspaper clipping of the "mooning" if anyone wants a copy.

preparing to ride on the sacred cobble-stones at the finish of the 1996 Tour de France. Frenchman in the background did not have a "street pass", but thought he could sneak in for the ride. The police had a different viewpoint and he was quickly turned back at the Place de la Concord.
