More Ken’s-Hearts CX Nat’s results!

Emily and Katherine finished up the weekend(?) with more great results! After a one day delayed start the twins hit the mud for the Elite/u23 Championship. Kath had another racer try to ride over her from behind (thought she was a barrier) a few turns into the race. With a bent chainring, she was forced to run a long way to the pit… a really long way. Em managed to not be run over by any other riders.

When the mud settled in the end, Em had grabbed 3rd in the u23 race and 28th in the Pro race! Another medal! Kath was 7th in the u23 race and 45th in the Pro race after a disastrous start left her minutes behind before the race really got going. Way to hang in there and stick it out Kath!

Unfortunately, due to the race delay in Austin, Phil had to miss the Pro race yesterday as he had to fly home. Next year Phil!

There are just two races left on the team schedule, good luck in Asheville this weekend Ken’s Bike Shop – Hearts CX team riders!

Congrat’s Emily, Katherine, and Phil!

Phil Short won the non championship warm up race on Wednesday, nice job Phil! Kath and Em Shields raced the collegiate race today for Lees McRae. Kath had to start at the back and rode through the field to take 6th while Emily battled for the lead until the last lap where she took the win! Way to go girls!!!

Good luck to Phil and the twins tomorrow in the Elite and u23 races!!!
